Isle of Reveries Tools After the Demo Kit

Named items from Kickstarter, Xbox, and 2026 clips that you will not start the demo holding.

Last updated:

Advanced Tools

The Steam demo hands you jump, Clem’s frog lantern, a sword, a lift, and the fairy copy. That is enough to finish Pilgrim’s Sanctum. The full game advertises seven dungeons, each with a key item that remains useful afterward. This page collects the named tools beyond the demo kit so you are not surprised on September 4, 2026. Basic loadout and lantern notes stay on key items. Copyable world objects stay on copy objects.

We do not invent functions. If Xbox only says “Obtain the Draco’launcher,” that is all we print. Kickstarter and developer posts are more generous for the Slinger, Clawncher, Pictograph Box, Magic Sack, and Power Pogo.

Fairy Slinger

Kickstarter: “Use the Fairy Slinger to fling your companion forward and copy distance objects.” When a statue sits across a pit, this is the answer instead of a twenty-minute detour. On the HUD it competes with copy itself. Keep both if a dungeon is vertical or split by gaps. The slinger does not replace copy; it changes range.

Clawncher

A claw that pulls objects toward Lief, including blocks and stretchy mushrooms that launch you through the air. Kickstarter also says Lief can steal an enemy’s weapon with it. That is a combat line, not only a puzzle line. When a later temple wants you to yank a mushroom, then copy the mushroom, you are in the intended late-game grammar. See combat if a foe is using something you would rather own.

The Clawncher does not replace walking into blocks (the January 2025 demo patch). Large floor blocks still shove by contact. The claw is for the things you reel in.

Draco’launcher

Xbox achievement: “Obtain the Draco’launcher.” Name confirmed, function not described in the sources we used. Expect a ranged or dragon-themed dungeon toy that, per the game’s own rules, should still matter after you leave its temple. Check this page again after launch. Do not take a fan wiki’s invented ammo type as fact.

Pictograph Box

Kickstarter: “Say cheese! Snap pics of all the creatures Lief comes across on their journey, and view the pictures of them in the Creature Album.” This is a collection verb, closer to a handheld camera side-mode than a dungeon key. It still belongs in the mental inventory because talking to everyone and filling Lief’s notebook is how township stories stick. If an Xbox or Steam tile later asks you to photograph a set, this is that tool.

Magic Sack

Kickstarter: sprinkle powder that activates magical objects and turns enemies into frogs. That is a dual-use item: puzzle catalyst and crowd control. We do not have a demo room that teaches it. Slot it when a shrine object looks inert, or when a packed screen of fodder is not worth sword time. Frog-ification is a joke with a straight face, same as the frog lantern.

Power Pogo

Named in a June 27, 2026 desertcucco post about enemies that block or reflect swords. The Pogo is for well-timed dodges and stuns. It is a combat answer to “steel bounced.” Not listed as a demo starter. When you find it, put it on a face button and leave jump on the shoulder so you can hop and pogo without swapping a feather-style item. More context: combat.

Clem’s Lantern, restated

The frog lantern’s Kickstarter name is Clem’s Lantern. “Every great adventure starts with a lantern, right? Except this one’s shaped like a frog.” It is the first real item, not an advanced one, but the proper name belongs next to the later toys so you can match trailer captions. Dark rooms are locks. Keep it assigned in mines and villas. The Snowcloaked Mine clip still wants light.

Spike, slingshot, and unnamed flashes

Official microclips show spike-and-slingshot combos. Those may be copyable traps, dungeon items, or both. Trailer watchers are told that eagle-eyed viewers will notice even more items. Unnamed flashes stay unnamed here. After September 4 we can promote them onto this list with sources.

How to slot them

Four face buttons. Jump on a shoulder. A late-game guess, not a commandment:

  • Copy + Slinger when the room is split
  • Clawncher + copy when mushrooms and pulls appear
  • Sword + stun tool (Pogo) when steel reflects
  • Lantern whenever the palette goes dark
  • Pictograph and Sack as swap-ins for collection or frog rooms

Timelocked Villa footage in the middle of this page is a reminder that later interiors will ask for order and patience, not a bigger sword. Start the demo, learn copy, then treat every new name as another verb on the same small HUD.
