Isle of Reveries System Requirements
A 150 MB adventure: Steam minimums, handheld notes, and console SKUs.
Isle of Reveries is a pixel action-adventure with a tiny install. If you can run a Game Boy emulator comfortably, you can almost certainly run this. Still check the numbers, because display, controllers, and store SKUs are the real filters — not GPU brand wars.
Steam app ID 3100970 lists the following minimums. There is no separate recommended tier on the store page we pulled.
Windows
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Storage: 150 MB available space
That CPU line is a 2006-era dual core. Integrated graphics that can do DirectX 10-class output are enough; the demo page also mentioned DX10/11/12 capable hardware. You will care more about a 16:9 window and a controller than about ray tracing.
macOS
- OS: Sonoma
- Processor: Apple M1 or Intel Core M
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Storage: 150 MB
SteamDB also flags macos64 and Apple Silicon. If you are on an older macOS than Sonoma, wait for the store to change or use another platform. We will not invent a workaround.
Linux / SteamOS / Deck
- OS: SteamOS (minimum line on Steam)
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Storage: 150 MB
Kickstarter photos showed the demo on a Steam Deck. Preview writers told laptop owners they could run it. Bind jump to a rear paddle if you have one; the HUD wants a shoulder jump. See controls.
Consoles
Same date — September 4, 2026 — on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One. Xbox lists Smart Delivery, cloud saves, and 27 achievements. PlayStation has a concept/wishlist page. Switch is confirmed by Electric Airship and Gematsu. There is no advertised Game Pass listing at the time of writing.
Console co-op for the two extra stages was described as a post-release patch. PC already advertises local co-op and Remote Play Together. Hardware is not the blocker; the patch is. Details: co-op and release.
Peripherals
- Full controller support on Steam
- Xbox controllers called out on the demo page
- Switch Pro controllers confirmed in a 2025 demo update
- Keyboard is possible; not the intended feel
A second pad is only required if you play the two multiplayer stages on the couch.
Network
Single-player does not need a persistent online connection beyond Steam or console license checks. Remote Play Together needs a host PC and a decent upload. There is no always-on live-service.
Practical advice
Install the demo on the machine you plan to use in September. If the demo is smooth, the full 150 MB game will be smooth. If the demo chugs, it is a display or emulator-layer issue, not a missing RTX card. Then wishlist the correct store from the links hub.
If you plan to stream or capture the pixel look, lock integer scaling. Upscaling filters that smear the GBC palette will make copy targets harder to read than any CPU limit will. Docked Switch and 4K televisions should use the sharpest nearest-neighbor option the port offers; Electric Airship has not published a filter list yet, so test in the demo on PC first if you own both.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for pilgrims heading to the isle.
Can a low-end PC run Isle of Reveries?
Steam's minimum is a Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM, and 150 MB disk. The demo is the real test.
Does it run on Steam Deck?
The developer showed the demo on Deck. Bind jump to a paddle or shoulder and play in the native pixel aspect.
Are there console versions?
Yes. Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One share the September 4, 2026 date.
How big is the download?
Steam lists 150 MB available space. That is the storage minimum, not a 100 GB live-service client.
