Isle of Reveries Updates
Release date, demo warnings, and the road from Kickstarter to consoles.
Isle of Reveries is still upcoming. The dated announcement from Electric Airship and desertcucco puts the full game on September 4, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This hub is the changelog-shaped view of that road: what is public, what changed between demo builds, and what not to mix up.
The most important practical warning is on Steam’s demo page: demo save data does not transfer to the full game. Enjoy the one-to-two-hour slice (opening, first dungeon, first boss), then start fresh on launch day. If you backed the Kickstarter, watch your backer emails for Steam keys and any Adventurer-tier playtest leftovers; those builds are not the retail patch.
What already shipped to players
- November 2024: public Steam demo.
- January 2025: demo updates — Switch Pro controller support, walking into blocks to push them, boss input fixes.
- March 2025: Kickstarter live. It closed over goal: 1,289 backers pledged $46,518 against a $25,000 target.
- June 29, 2026: Steam news post locking the September 4 Steam date.
- August 4, 2026: Gematsu and Electric Airship confirm the same date on consoles, with a new trailer listing a $19.99 price.
- August 11, 2026: desertcucco announces 20,000 Steam wishlists.
- August 20, 2026: Electric Airship teases minigames with rewards on consoles.
Kickstarter-era copy sometimes said eight dungeons or “6 main + 2 mini.” Current storefronts say seven dungeons and eight biomes. This wiki follows the current storefront numbers and mentions the older phrasing only as history. Do not treat a 2025 pitch deck as a 2026 patch note.
Where to go next
The release page is the deep dive: platforms, publishers (desertcucco on PC, Electric Airship on consoles), language (English on Steam), and co-op caveats. The news timeline is the dated list (demo, Kickstarter, showcase, wishlists). Pair it with system requirements and official links. For play advice rather than dates, return to Getting Started.
We will add patch notes after the game is actually out. Until then, this hub will not pretend there is a live-service calendar. If Steam posts a depot change during launch week, it belongs here first, then in Getting Started only if it changes how you install the demo or the full file. Console patch notes for the two co-op stages belong next to the co-op guide, with a one-line pointer from this hub so readers are not hunting three URLs for a single sentence about split-screen.
