Isle of Reveries News Timeline

Public dates from Steam, Kickstarter, Electric Airship, and desertcucco — still upcoming.

News Timeline

Isle of Reveries is not out yet. The dated lock is September 4, 2026 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and Xbox One. This page is a timeline of public announcements so the updates hub is not only a date. Deep platform notes live on release. Play advice lives in guides.

If a store widget and a 2025 pitch deck disagree, the newer storefront wins. Kickstarter-era “eight dungeons” versus 2026 “seven dungeons” is the example: we follow seven and eight biomes, and we say so on the dungeons page.

November 14, 2024 — Steam demo

The free demo ships: opening, first dungeon, first boss, about one to two hours. desertcucco publishes it as the honest slice, not a tech test. Save data does not transfer to the full game. There is also an in-browser demo on itch.io from the Kickstarter era; a controller is recommended on both. Route: demo walkthrough.

As of late August 2026 the Steam demo sits at Very Positive with 68 reviews and about 97% positive. That is a signal, not a Metacritic for the seven-dungeon retail file.

January 2025 — demo patch habits

Public notes: Switch Pro controller support, walk into blocks to push them, boss input fixes. Those habits still matter. See how to play and controls.

March 2025 — Kickstarter

The campaign closes over goal: 1,289 backers, $46,518 against a $25,000 target. Backer emails, not this wiki, are how keys arrive. Adventurer-tier playtests are not the retail patch.

May 21, 2026 — Six One Indie Showcase

A trailer hits IGN and GameTrailers under the Six One Indie Showcase. Window still “2026 on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.” The concrete day comes later.

June 2026 — Steam date and backer co-op slice

June 29, 2026: Steam news post locks September 4, 2026 for the PC build. desertcucco asks players to wait for more console detail while working with Electric Airship.

Around the same month the developer said a Kickstarter backer update was coming with finishing touches on a multiplayer demo for backers. That is not the public Steam demo and not the full campaign in co-op. Retail co-op remains two dedicated stages, local plus Steam Remote Play Together, with console co-op described as a post-release patch. Read co-op.

June 27: Screenshot Saturday on enemies that block or reflect swords, and the Power Pogo stun. Filed under combat.

August 4, 2026 — consoles share the day

Electric Airship and desertcucco announce the same September 4 date for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Gematsu, Niche Gamer, and Nintendo Everything carry it. The Electric Airship trailer lists $19.99, seven dungeons, eight biomes, township, copy-and-spawn, dedicated jump, and “English + more if possible.” Steam’s language table still shows English interface. This wiki localizes guides anyway.

Nintendo Everything briefly mis-credited another studio in a headline; the developer of record is desertcucco (Carl), with Electric Airship publishing consoles. Press contact on the trailer: contact@electricairship.com.

August 11, 2026 — 20,000 Steam wishlists

desertcucco posted that Isle of Reveries passed 20,000 wishlists on Steam. That is a community milestone, not a gameplay change. Wishlist anyway if you have not: it is how you get the launch-day ping.

August 15–20, 2026 — consoles and minigames

August 15: desertcucco restates Steam and consoles on September 4, with copy-and-spawn, overworld, dungeons, and two co-op stages “with a friend (or an enemy).”

August 20: Electric Airship highlights minigames with rewards for the console launch. Treat that as a side-mode teaser, not a new dungeon count. Tick fishing or bug-catching on the checklist only as optional rest activities from older blurbs plus this minigame hint.

What has not happened

  • The full game has not launched.
  • Demo saves still do not transfer.
  • A numbered Steam achievement list matching Xbox’s 27 tiles is not fully mirrored here.
  • Console co-op is still described as a later patch, not day-one split-screen on Switch and PlayStation.

When September 4 lands, patch notes belong on this timeline first, then in Getting Started only if install steps change. Until the stores flip from “coming soon” to a buy button, do not write as if Lief is already in retail biomes.
